Project Manager (Web / Digital focus)
Oceaneast is seeking an experienced Project Manager with previous experience driving deliverables for Federal communications and branding efforts. This is for a new contract in Arlington, VA. The selected Project Manager will support a federal department that is responsible for all of their Agency’s external communications and provides overall coordination for all aspects of legislative and public affairs. Additionally, they direct their Agency’s communications strategy and policies; is responsible for communicating positioning, messaging, and branding; develop outreach and educational programs; leads the Agency’s online marketing strategy and manages the external website; and produces events and promotional publications and products to generate support for the agency mission.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee client approval requests processes.
- Recruit consultants as required
- Review and approve monthly invoices to the client
- Develop and monitor consultant and subcontractor contracts
- Train and supervise Project Coordinators and delegate tasks to project team members
- Monitor project budget and prepare financial reports, pipelines, and budget modifications
- Oversee development and updates to project technical deliverables and ensure they are
formatted with the proper branding requirements established by the contract and ensure that they are properly archived - Ensure all content is strategically aligned with the Agency branding guidelines.
- Support client ad hoc initiatives by creating/modifying compelling visual campaigns, animations,and graphic designs to include mobile platforms.
- Strategize to manage content that tells the client story to an internal global audience.
- Provide analysis of information regarding current trends in digital and social media plus provide key analytical and reporting support by presenting digital metrics on all internal communications platforms.
- Provide data-driven insight into 360 degree customer behavior to support the development of actionable plans that meet the needs of all digital visitors and users.
- Provide key analytical and reporting support by managing digital metrics. These metrics include cover internal web, social and document management platforms.
Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- BA and 3-6 years Federal Government project management experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal Government regulations and policies (including FAR regulations), especially as they relate to contracting and procurement.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
- Organization and prioritization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences; development of training resources and teaching experience a plus.
- Previous management experience of more junior staff.
- Solid background in managing large program budgets.
